Reflection
I had lots of fun on the kayaking trip. It was a really great bonding and collaboration activity for me to connect more to my peers and the environment. It was amazing seeing all the things that we had learned about in class all around us. This trip was a great escape from the stress of school, and experiencing what we were studying made learning all the more fun. I loved seeing the dolphins all around us and really feeling immersed in the estuary and all its treasures. My favorite part of the trip was making the human sail. It required collaboration, supportiveness, patience, trust, and togetherness. We all helped each other stand up in our kayaks, one by one, and had to trust each person in the grade not to let go of the person next to them. It really helped me feel in unity with everyone, and it felt great to share that feeling of supporting and being supported. In this field trip, I came home from the kayaking trip with a bright red sunburn, sore arms from kayaking, and muddy tennis shoes, but most importantly I came back with a stronger bond and unity with all of my peers
