                 Sea star

the sea star is an interesting sea animal it looks nothing like the others and it is unique in its own way. the genus and species for this sea animal is asterias forbesil. the habitat for the sea star is in shallow to deeper coastal water. a few more facts are down below!

the characteristics of this animal is, rough skin, mostly orange and yellow, and 0.1-6 kg. the three adaptations i found for the sea star are, they are thretand by preditors so the are able to camofloge, if they loose an arm or leg from danger they are able to regrow there limbs, and third of all they ahve a solitary lifestyle which helps them live. the sea stars predators are, fish, ray, and sharks. the sea stars prey are crustaceans, worms, and sea urchins. the sea star is herteotrophic and it is exothermic. one more interesting fact about the sea star is that they come in a litter of 1,000,000.
